Our society has to face a major issue. We are not capable to focus for a longer amount of time. Instead to close our eyes and to relax while sitting in the train we are on the phone talking or we play random games on a gameboy. To bring it to the point: We never really relax and we stay focused all day long! That is why a lot people complain about a leg in concentration.

Lord of the Rings feeling
Oh my god it looks exactly like one of the hobbit houses out of Lord of the Rings. Amazing! For a house with a stunning view architects use usually just one strategy: Tall Buildings!

Need new muscles?
On the iRex2009 in Tokyo, the top robot developers showed the world what they have to offer. Sometimes it appears to me that their inventions are a mixture out of genius and madness. The high-tech nations of Asia have a playful approach to technical issues. In comparison to their mentality, their inventions are incredible playful and experimental. Keep reading →

They are back!
They are back!
1000 of kids were feeding, playing and killing them everyday and now they are back! The Tamagotchi!
The new Tamagotchi ID from Bandai actually looks exactly like the old one, with the difference that it is equipped with a 1.44 inch colour screen. You will be able to purchase it from the 23rd of November on only in Japan for a price of 38 euros. Keep reading →

9 hours until sunrise
Specially as a backpacker a cheap accommodation is always welcome. Being in Japan you won’t be able to find a low-priced accommodation. You might know those tiny capsule hotels that cost an exorbitant price just for a nights sleep. The product designer Fumie Shibata came up with a new concept called the 9h capsule. The hotel is named that way because you are supposed to only stay nine hours (1 hour shower + 7 hours sleep + 1 hour rest = 9 hours). Keep reading →

The Vertical Bed!
It does look really strange! I probably would assume that this man has a disability that requires him to wear metal braces all over his body. Actually this man is asleep. I know what you are thinking, but he is sleeping on a Vertical Bed. Keep reading →

Marshmallow Gun
Yesterday night I surfed randomly around the Internet and look what I have found: A Marshmallow Gun! The Executive Marshmallow Blaster Elite fires of course marshmallows. The gun is kept completely in a fake carbon fiber-look and is stowed in a special case, that of a manager (or a pro-marshmallow assassin). The gun costs $ 55 plus expenses and you can buy it here.

XXL Nintendo
And it is on! Finally companies realize that small devices are not always handy. The Nintendo DSiXL made its first appearance on the TV-Screen of Japans households a few days ago. The new Nintendo offers a bigger screen at 4.2 inches and will be released on the 21st of November in Japan and in Germany beginning 2010.
My only problem is, that they didn’t change the hardware at all. Ok, I have to admit the screen is huge, but they didn’t even change the number of pixels. It is just the same Nintendo you may have already bought. So what’s the point of buying a new one!

Microsoft vs. Apple
On the 6th of October not only Windows Mobile 6.5 was launched worldwide, but also the associated software shop Windows Marketplace for Mobile, slowly filling up the shelves with products (31 applications steadily growing). They made a hilarious video about a fake Microsoft App Lab and want to highlight the stupidity of some iPhone apps ( e.g. iMilk, Crazy Moth ) in the the App Store. There are a lot of different useless iPhone applications and obviously Microsoft thinks the same about Apples iTunes Store. Keep reading →

Wikipedia for your pocket
Nearly everybody has tried to cheat during an exam! Am I right? I welcome you to the new generation of cheating: The Wikireader. The WikiReader is an electronic device giving a physical form to Wikipedia. The $100 gadget allows you to browse over 4 million Wikipedia entries without the need of the Internet connectivity. But in an age of 3G, free WiFi, smartphones and notebooks who would buy a dedicated reader with no online connectivity?
